I’m still here. The Rapture 2011 hype is slowly settling down and my heart still hurts for those that were so easily swayed to believe that Jesus was coming back last Saturday..so much to the point they quit their jobs, put their animals down…quit looking forward towards life here on earth.  I have been praying that God will reveal Himself to them and help shed wisdom into the places that somehow become gray and distorted.  Reading Matthew Chapter 24 would have helped.  

Sunday as David and I were walking to worship downtown at the Winston park for Awake church service, we noticed another new church.  David looked at me and said ‘is it me, or are there churches sprouting up everywhere, on every corner?”  …and it almost seems like a daily thing.  Each new church we see, I always make note to look it up when I get back home to check out the beliefs, values, etc.  As I pondered on the reasons behind all these new churches starting the Lord made it plain to me that

1) people are sick and tired of playing church, sick and tired of playing religion

2) people are searching, desparate, and hungry for something bigger than we can even wrap our minds around

People are searching for love without restraint, community, passion to serve, people who actually care, substance, meat and potatoes, 

I know there are many people who have been dis-satisfied with the church so they either grumble/complain about it, bring the church down by a negative crippled mindset, leave the church, or decide hey I think I’ll just go to a different church..or wait better yet…I’ll start my own church…

I have went through my bi-polar relationship and feelings towards church in general. I to am ready for a change. I to am searching.  I to am praying God reveal revelations regarding the church to me.
