We are off to Farmington/Mocksville to my grandmother’s house (Dad’s mom) to partake in Thanksgiving festivity number one. Later we will be going to the Armstrong’s house for festivity number two. I should have worn sweat pants with a stretchy waist. Have a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving today loves.
David and I were going to have an engagement party in December. It was planned that we would invite family and everyone we wanted to be in the wedding and ask them there, as well as show the proposal video and announce the date and other goodies.
BUT with everything that has happened and all that will transpire in the next few weeks (Dennis (David’s dad) was in the hospital for a few days due to surgery), I have been making arrangements and getting ready to move out of the apartment and into the rental home, and Thanksgiving coming up) we decided to skip the engagement party.
……so the past week we spent calling/contacting friends/family that we wanted to be apart of the Bridal party:) I think there are just a few more people we need to get in touch with.
Now we just need to secure the ceremony/reception location and I will be able to breathe. It’s kind of important to know where you’re getting married.
David and I are off with my dad to shoot engagement photos! I’m pretty pumped and hope and pray they turn out amazing:)
001. We did not get the house. According to sources, there were 19 other bids on the house (WOAH WHAT?). As easy as it is to say ‘dont’ get emotionally attached’, it’s a lot harder putting that in to practice. needless to say i was bummed and David had to help me get out of my funk.
002. We both have gym memberships at Fitness 2000 and I have been utilzing it rather well lately (a lot better than I did at PEAK). It’s just easier to have someone to keep me accountable. David is that person:)
003. David has been sick for a couple days and then Dennis (David’s dad) was in the hospital with an inflammed appendix (woah spelling) for 3-4 days. He was able to come home today though so for all that have been praying for him THANK YOU!!
004. America voted and our 44th president has been selected. Baracka Obama. Random sidenote but one of my kids came in on Thursday (the election was on a Tuesday) and was like : “Ms. Ingram did you know how our next president is???” and paused. Then told me ‘Obama” like he had some inside scoop that no one else had access to.
Today David and I, his parents, and my parents all went and looked at a house that his parents are going to try and bid on 2marro. It’s a foreclosure but by far the best foreclosure we’ve looked at and for a steal of a deal. We’ve been through the whole bid process a few times now and it hasn’t gone in our favor. I’m praying the Lord will have His hand HEAVILY upon this one. Be praying with us please!:)
